Alias: Tommy Knottz
Born: Thomas Jacobson-Fallos
Where: In the suburbs of North Chicago & moved to the Coast of Maine in 1993.
His Story: Having had an interest in rap music since the age of 6 the transition from poetry to rapping was as natural as walking and it wasn't long until he was running with it. At the age of 18 he was introduced to the Live Poets crew and recorded his first song in Moodswing9's basement. He would later become friends with and collabrate with KGB aka Syn the Shaman on several songs.
Tommy Knottz (who was originally known as Concept and Tommy Atomik) began hitting the Battle Circuit in Maine. Regularly finishing in the top 4 in events like the Iron Mic and other battles from Portland to Orono. He would later stop battling in such events when he noticed the politics and popularity contests they involved.
Coming from a checkered past and a disgruntled household his family provided him with what they could but soon he learned how to get what he wanted his own way. It was not long before his lust for money took over and he found himself living in Roxbury, Mass. He recorded his First Mixtape, Sinful Things, with producer/engineer Matty Trumps. Traveling back and forth from Boston to Portland a couple times a week he would eventually receive the news that he was going to be a father. So he packed his bags and returned home to Maine.
The Current & The Future: Having been back in Maine for a few years now Knottz has released his 2nd Mixtape/Album called Fruits Of Labor on datpiff.com and is getting ready to release his 1st Official Studio Album. The buzz is big with his currently untitled album featuring artists like Dave Gutter from Rustic Overtones and PSC as well as Production from Pore, Matty Trump, Sloppy Beats & Crust and Grimes.
